Fall Shade Planter

September 04, 2014

Want to see more planters? https://bit.ly/2OJ8lpv

Here are the plants I used to get this look:

Rheum

'Bedazzled Bronze' Chrysanthemum

'Under the Sea Red Coral' Coleus

Purple Cabbage

Hakonechloa (Japanese Forest Grass)

'Scarlet Curls' Willow branches

and decorative fall picks from JoAnns

The Rheum, Chrysanthemum and the Hakonechloa are all perennials. You can leave them in the pot through the winter if you water it every two weeks (do not skip a watering- even if there is snow on top of the pot)!!! The Rheum and Hakonechloa are shade-lovers, so find them a shady spot. The Chrysanthemum like sun, so find it a sunny spot! Happy planting!
