I love the way a nice thick, rock layer looks, but I've had more success (personally) when I only use a few rocks around the edges as a 'faux layer' but still have soil all the way to the bottom of the container. I explain all about it in the full version! Either way you do it, they are extremely easy to put together and they make a great (inexpensive) gift! Thanks for watching! ~Laura
